At Emerald Automotive, we believe great auto repair starts with great people. Since 1996, our car repair shop has served the Ponderay community with honest, dependable automotive service. What started as a one-man operation has grown into a trusted, family-oriented shop where our team treats every vehicle like it’s our own—and every customer like family.


Emerald Automotive was founded by Bryan Egland, a highly respected technician who spent 28 years building a reputation for integrity, precision, and exceptional customer care. In June of 2024, Bryan made the decision to semi-retire and passed the torch to longtime employee Mike Mitchell and his wife, Marcia. Mike had worked under Bryan’s mentorship for nearly nine years, gaining hands-on experience and earning the trust of customers and staff alike. Bryan still works three days a week, sharing his vast knowledge and ensuring the shop continues to operate at the same high standard he established decades ago.


Mike and Marcia are proud to carry on the Emerald Automotive legacy. As local residents themselves, they understand the importance of community, relationships, and doing things the right way. They’ve continued to invest in modern equipment and ongoing training for their ASE-certified technicians to ensure every vehicle is serviced with care and technical precision.
